The Georgia Child Support Commission describes changes to its child-support calculator effective January 1, 2026. Its notice says a parenting-time adjustment replaces the prior parenting-time deviation and a low-income adjustment replaces the prior low-income deviation.

The calculator uses the parenting-time adjustment in a new Schedule C. Users select the noncustodial parent and enter that parent's parenting days; the calculator assigns the remaining days to the custodial parent. The notice says the days must total 365 and the noncustodial parent must have no more than 182.5 parenting days. The adjustment appears on line 6 of the displayed worksheet.

For low income, the notice describes an adjustment intended to prevent the obligation from exceeding specified percentages of adjusted gross income, varying by the number of children. The calculator compares income with the low-income table automatically, and the adjustment appears on line 11 of the worksheet. The notice includes illustrative table and worksheet images.

These are descriptions of calculator operation. The commission's date describes the calculator changes; it does not alone establish the effective date or application of every underlying statutory provision.
